A
Sweeping View
was founded to fill a growing niche market
for interactive panoramic images suitable for Internet marketing,
advertising, and publicity uses. While the
product itself is very specific, its use is not industry-specific.
Why Use Panoramic
Images?
Panoramic images provide a far
more encompassing way of bringing an area to life than a still
image. A virtual tour can impart a sense of actually being right
there, and given the 24/7 nature of the Internet, people can
visit your facility at their convenience. It also provides a way
for viewers (your customers) to interact with your website.
This 360 degree image of a condominium complex's
pool shows the Java applet controls a visitor to your website can use to look
left or right and zoom in or out of the panorama, something not possible with
still images.
If you can not see the image rotating, you may
need to enable your browser to run Java scripts.

(free).
While primarily serving commercial and residential real
estate needs, A Sweeping View
would like to provide this same
product to retail stores, malls, banks, attended care
facilities, factories, hotels, bed and breakfasts, art
galleries, museums, local and national parks, or any
other visitor-based attractions.
Photos are shot using an eight
mega-pixel digital camera. Panoramic images will be photographed
using a resolution suitable for fast loading web pages on the
internet, while still pictures will use a high resolution
suitable for print media.
It takes between four to 24
pictures which are then digitally stitched together to create a
visually attractive and interactive 90 to 360 degree panoramic
image. These images, along with the applets needed to view them,
will be Internet-ready for A Sweeping View’s customers to use on
their websites.
