A  Sweeping View

This started off as a memory of a special moment with a special woman,
but in the end this is my longing for my children. The music can be found
on my compositions page. Here is a .pdf copy.

Diamonds in Your Eyes

When the moon peeks over the edge of the night,

I ne’er grow tired of her ivory beams of light,

Sparkling in the waves like diamonds in the sea;

Reminds me of diamonds I long to see.

Reminds me of diamonds I long to see.

When the sun rises over the dawn of the day

His blazing rays start reflecting off the bay

Dancing on the water like diamonds in the sea;

Reminds me of diamonds I long to see.

Reminds me of diamonds I long to see.

I have traveled far and I have traveled wide,

Cursing the reasons that keep me from your side,

From that damn desert war to a frozen arctic shore,

I’m missing the diamonds in your eyes;

Missing the diamonds in your eyes;

Missing the diamonds in your eyes;

Missing the diamonds in your eyes;

Still missing the diamonds in your eyes.
